Vedic mantra goes hip hop

vedicIBHWISDOM: Vedic mantras went hip-hop in April this year in conjunction with Ram Navami celebrations.

Young poet and hip-hop musician Mikey Jay who describes himself as “a wandering soul learning the lessons of life” came out with a new music album the “Sri Isopaniads”.

The album comprises 19 songs, an Invocation and 18 songs based on 18 mantras from the ancient Sri Isopanisad scriptures.

The Vedas are direct intuitional revelations by God to the great ancient Rishis of India. The Vedic Rishis were great realised persons who had direct intuitive perception of Brahman or the Truth.

Hindus believe that the Vedas are the oldest books in the library of man and that the truths contained in all religions are ultimately traceable to the Vedas. .

The video below is an evolution of sorts and an indication perhaps to the enduringly fluid nature of the wisdom.
